Alex... I thank God I don´t have tinnitus... I don´t know how I would get thro´... I remember meeting one of my favorite guitarists, Al di Meola, who was in great discomfort most of the time... Dreadful... quite dreadful... sorry to hear Egypt wasn´t a fab experience... Lee... Hey... I´m 40 again!!!... Cora... Gracias, Luv... XX

Bloody limiting mobile bloody bloody devices!!!... Moreci... The negative songs on the CP album are about someone else... :)... Camelia... I have no regrets about my hearing... My Wife, however, does get tired of having to keep repeating herself... I tell her I use selective hearing... Duska... I do enjoy pizza but, it does not serve me well... I do hate ´common sense´ sometimes... I do not have a lucky metabolism... not at all... OK... back to JOY... Happy Moreci?
- David Coverdale 5/16/2012 3:34:05 PM
Ingrid... Mmm... I have to answer you with the same answer... no... I am not a lonely guy... Sure... I absolutely miss my Wife while she´s away on her adventures... but, I don´t feel ´lonely´... For instance, I am very comfortable with my own company ... I keep myself amused, occupied, busy, creative, dance card full, pretty much every day... I did not say I have not experienced ´loneliniess´... God knows, Ive written enough songs about the experience... I certainly did as a child, & many other times during my 60 years on the Planet... ( not Planet Rock )... & of course, I have ... Failure?... Been there... didnt like it... & i dont entertain or invite it into my life... it ain´t on my agenda any more... If something isn´t working for me in my life, I change it... that is a trait I´ve had for many years... Failure is a perception... For example, if I make an album that doesn´t sell well commercially, I don´t necessarily consider it a failure if I personally like it & feel it´s a good piece of work... then, it´s successful on some level, isn´t it?... Yes... lucky me, indeed... Moreci... Without a doubt my wife Cindy is the most positively most inspiring love I have ever known... so, yes... I first started writing songs celebrating our love not long after we became a couple... I believe the first song I wrote with her in mind & heart was ´Take A Look At Yourself´ on the Coverdale Page album...
- coramarzi 5/16/2012 3:33:55 PM Aaaaaaaargh, David!!!! bloody book... that You never start writing... !!You´re soooooooooo naughty, don´t You?? & soooooooooo sexy... HAHA!! Well Luv, I know it will take time but we all trust in You & in Your fantastic writing talent :) ´La voile rouge´ is a famous beachclub in St. Tropez that really rocks ;) beach, music, loooooot of alcohol & very ´attractive local talents´;)g´night Dearest XO Cora
- montrachet 5/16/2012 2:25:46 PM Alice Cooper just played In the still of the night on Planet rock as I was reading your answer. LOL! Sweet David, btw it is a nice commercial, anyway good to know you never feel lonely. Really? You have such a cocksureness about you, has it always been this way even when you were a child? Never afraid of failure like say, Ralph Fiennes a giant in his genre? Never any misgivings, lucky you? XX M
- Moreci42 5/16/2012 1:23:26 PM You are one lucky man David... I hope this is not to personal but... I wonder if the absence of your beautiful wife is inspiring your lyrics?
- Camelia 5/16/2012 1:16:43 PM I felt sorry to read about your left ear David but the sacrifice was not in vain. You had and still have a life some people only dream. You are a legend. In time many people partially lose their hearing without having so much fun as you had around the world with a noisy rock&roll band... Cheers:)
- duskajulius 5/16/2012 1:05:30 PM David, we are on spring health kick diet. Haha. We´ve been just a tad bad in winter and put on 5 pounds that we want to shed. I cook the awesome and ever healthy multiveggiecabbage soup. We don´t do the fad diet thingy though, just combine soup with sensible eating and no carbs. I do miss the occasional pizza though. Do you like pizza? There is good pizza here in Calgary, mostly pan baked. Cheers!
- David Coverdale 5/16/2012 12:10:08 PM
Ahh, Moreci... Each to his own... It´s easier for most people to understand ´work´ than "I´m off to have indescribable fun & joy creating music at Man Cave Studios"... I call it work, when it´s really my passion... my emotional release... my hobby... :)
- David Coverdale 5/16/2012 12:00:15 PM
Dearest Monty... I have no idea, Luv... I do some much promo I can´t remember all of them... I can assure you, that with everything in my life... all aspects... I haven´t been lonely, or indeed heartbroken for as long as I can remember... Either I am indescribably happy... or I have a serious case of memory loss... Ha Ha!!!... I´ll take deliriously happy, thank you!!!... Duska... Yes, Miss DuPre... Miroslav... Luv ´em all... Cindy is giddy with joy at being in the Land of the Pharoahs... Lunch?... probably chicken salad... Fascinating, eh?... Lee... Kidneys take a bashing, too, ol´ son... :)... ALL HAIL THE KIDNEYS!!!... Leah... How utterly nice of you to say, Luv... quite fluffed up the ol´ lower chakras, thank you!... OK... back to ze mix... XX
- Moreci42 5/16/2012 11:55:47 AM David, I find it funny that you call it work... I was always told that if you truly LOVE what you do for a living... you never work a day in your life
- montrachet 5/16/2012 11:09:47 AM Dear lovehunter, I regularly listen to Planet Rock Radio in the morning during the ritual of making myself presentable to the world. Your voice came on with the chorus of Aint no love in the heart, then a woman was asking why with all your money and your looks you are still heartbroken. Funny idea this advertisement for online dating on Planet rock. Did you advise them? Oh and 90+ is the target :)
- duskajulius 5/16/2012 9:58:53 AM David same here! Casals, Ma, Rostropovic and of course THE unsurpassed Jacqueline du Pre. Anyways, if you don´t have it yet, check Julian´s CD Unexpected Songs. Is your wife enjoying Egypt so far and the energy of the pyramids? It´s a place that I want to visit and haven´t been able to. That culture will always remain the epitome of artistic esthetics, mystery and spirituality. What´s for lunch :)
- Lee Thompson 5/16/2012 9:51:31 AM David, don´t try the drinking game from "Withnail&I",unless you have a spare liver!! Cheers to all,Lee.

Lee... ‘Tis one of my absolute faves... ‘Morning, All!... Just a vey quickie... Time is the General Manager today & it marches relentlessly on... Cora... Nope... never heard of it... We only drove into St Tropez a few times... Fortunately, we were kept charmingly busy songwriting & with attractive local talent... A tres memorable & creatively successful time... Mmm... You shall have to wait for the book, Luv... :)... Ger... Sorry... no idea... I know she was close a gaol for ‘political’ prisoners... We started researching Ancestory.com recently but got distracted by... mmm... what is it called again?... Ah, yes... WORK!!!... There will be plenty of time, God Willing... Tracey... yes, I did enjoy it... the girls were great & most welcoming... COB... No, sorry... we tried & failed at our altitude, I was told... It just makes it more special when I get back to Blighty to indulge... I have no idea what Martin is up to... I think he retired... Not sure... Cameia... Yes... Ha Ha... not sure about ‘hard of ears’, but, yes... the hearing in my left ear has lost almost 60%... There is definitely a price to pay when you’re in a noisy rock & roll band... I hereby accept the trade-off... :)... Jenblue... Thank you, Luv... you are most generous... Cheers, Ale... Duska... I’m a huge cello fan... I know his brother Andrew ( sorry yer Lordship )... but, I haven’t met JUlian, tho I do admire his gift, for sure... Casals, Ma... Hi, G... OK... time is pressing... & so is the call of the gym... Have a grand day, Gromit... er... Lads & Fair Lassies... I’m off to work out & work... :)... Love & LIGHT to You & Yours... DC

I thought about you and your work through the years and decided to take a look at your BBS activity. I just read your earlier post, you said your ears have been compromised by loud guitarist... does that mean you are some how hard of ears?
- Jenbluesnake 5/15/2012 4:34:53 PM Hi, DC. Hi all. Just want to take this time to thank you, David, for everything. If It wasn´t for your voice, your words, your music, I wouldn´t have got through so many tough times... And I wouldn´t have met so many great people who I am so happy to call friends, and everyday I am thankful I have them and you in my life. Whitesnake, Forevermore, baby! Much love, always. Jen. xx

Have you heard Julian Lloyd-Webber´s rendition of Astor Piazzola´s Oblivion for Cello and Piano? Awesome! What´s for dinner? I am making a huge pot of cabbage soup, for the spring diet, helps rid us of the 5 pounds that stuck on in winter. No carbs for a week or two :( cheers
